Accessibility

Access to the magazine

The Adventure Beyond is a privately run journal. I want to make its content accessible to as many people as possible and use the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2, Level AA, to guide further development. This statement does not confirm full conformance.

Supported interaction

The website provides a skip link to the main content, visible keyboard focus indicators and labelled controls. The mobile menu can be closed with the Escape key. Automatic image changes can be paused. The system’s reduced-motion preference is respected. Text and layout adapt to different screen sizes, and browser zoom is not disabled.

Known limitations

Some technical drawings contain labels within images. Not all image details yet have comprehensive text descriptions. The accessibility of linked YouTube videos, particularly subtitles and audio descriptions, has not been fully assessed. A comprehensive review of all pages with different screen readers is still outstanding.

Report an accessibility barrier

If you cannot access content or use a control, please write to info@the-adventure-beyond.com. Please include the page address and a short description, and optionally your browser and any assistive technology used. I will review the issue and try to provide an accessible alternative.
