2. Hosting and connection data
The website is hosted by IONOS SE, Elgendorfer Straße 57, 56410 Montabaur, Germany. When pages are requested, data processed includes the IP address, requested address, date and time, browser and operating system details, and where applicable referrer information. This supports transmission, secure operation and error analysis. The legal basis is Article 6(1)(f) GDPR; the legitimate interest is the secure provision of this journal. IONOS receives the data generated during hosting.
According to the provider’s general web-hosting information, log data is stored for eight weeks and IP addresses are anonymised for the analysis described there. Details: IONOS: data processing in web hosting. IONOS also mentions processing through WebAnalytics for its web-hosting services. This provider information does not replace information about any additional processing that may be introduced later.
3. Cookies and local storage
The magazine theme uses no analytics or advertising cookies and does not create visitor profiles. Image selection and pause status are held only in memory during the visit. Technically necessary cookies are used for authorised users signing in to WordPress. A test cookie checks the browser’s cookie support. Login cookies normally last two days, or two weeks when the option to stay signed in is selected.
Strictly necessary storage and access take place under § 25(2), no. 2 TDDDG. Personal data is processed to secure access on the basis of Article 6(1)(f) GDPR. Optional analytics or advertising services are not activated without any prior consent that may be required.
4. Images, fonts and YouTube
Images are delivered through the website hosting. The magazine and customised maintenance page use local or system fonts. No fonts are automatically fetched from Google or Bunny. YouTube videos are external links, not automatically loaded players. Preview images are not automatically loaded from YouTube either. Only when you open a YouTube link do you leave this website and connect to the external service.
Within the European Economic Area, YouTube is operated by Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland. Data may also be processed outside the European Economic Area. Information: Google Privacy Policy.
5. Contact by email
When you send an email enquiry, I process your sender address, message and any optional information to respond to your request. The respective email providers are involved in transmission and storage. The legal basis is Article 6(1)(f) GDPR, or Article 6(1)(b) GDPR for contract-related enquiries. The information is deleted once the enquiry has been dealt with and no statutory retention obligations or specific reasons for further storage remain. No public contact form is currently available.
6. Your rights
Under the GDPR, you have rights of access, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing and data portability. Where processing is based on consent, you may withdraw it at any time with future effect; this does not affect the lawfulness of earlier processing.
Right to object: You may object to processing based on Article 6(1)(f) GDPR on grounds relating to your particular situation. Please use the contact address given above.
You may lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority, particularly where you live, work or believe an infringement has occurred.
